Web Hosting on Infrastructure We Own

Your site on servers we own and operate in Canada, not resold space on someone else’s cloud. When you call support, you’re talking to the people running the hardware.

At a glance

  • Our own Canadian infrastructure
  • Data residency in Canada
  • Support from the people running it
  • PHP & MySQL hosting done properly
  • Backups and monitoring included

Not resold. Ours.

Most “hosting companies” rent space from a big provider and mark it up; when something breaks, they open a ticket like everyone else. We run our own infrastructure. That means we know exactly where your site lives, what it’s running on, and how to fix it, and your data stays in Canada, full stop.

The difference shows up on the worst day rather than the average one. When a resold host has a problem, the company you pay is in the same queue you are, reading the same status page, able to tell you nothing except that they have raised it. That is not a criticism of the people answering; it is the shape of the arrangement they are in.

Owning the hardware also means the answer to “what is it running on” is a fact rather than a guess, and a change to suit your site is a decision somebody here can make. That is the whole argument, and it is the reason we have never moved to reselling somebody else’s platform in thirty years of being asked to.

Reasons people move their site to us

Almost nobody changes host because they are curious. These are the conversations that actually start it.

  • The site went down and you found out from a customer.
  • Support answers in a different time zone and a different company than the one you pay.
  • Nobody can tell you which country the server is in.
  • The certificate expired and the browser started warning people off.
  • You are on a plan you chose eight years ago and nobody has looked since.
  • An update broke the site and getting it back took days.
  • You cannot get a straight answer about whether the backups work.
  • Moving has been on the list for two years because it sounds difficult.

What’s included

What you get.

Website hosting

PHP and MySQL, configured for the site rather than left on whatever a control panel installed by default.

SSL certificates

Issued, installed and renewed by us, so an expiry is our problem before it is ever a warning on your visitors’ screens.

Email hosting

Addresses on your own domain rather than a free account with somebody else’s brand in it, set up and supported alongside the site.

Backups

Kept so that a bad update, a deleted page or somebody’s honest mistake is something we restore rather than something you rebuild.

Monitoring & proactive maintenance

We hear about it before you do, which is the entire point of somebody watching it who is not you.

Migration from your current host

We move it and we test it, on a live address you can check, before anything about your domain changes.

What to expect

Moving a site here, without the downtime story

The reason most people put this off is a fear of the site going dark for a day. It does not have to.

1

We copy it before we change anything

The site and its database are set up here first, on a temporary address, while the live one carries on exactly as it is.

2

You check the copy

Every page, the forms, the parts only you know about. Nothing about your domain has moved at this point, so there is no risk in taking your time.

3

We point the domain when you say

At a quiet hour that suits you. Because both copies are live during the changeover, visitors reach a working site throughout.

4

We watch it afterwards

Certificates, mail delivery and the small things that only surface once real traffic arrives.

Where we work

Canadian hosting, run from Kitchener

Data residency is the part clients ask about most, and the answer is simple: the hardware is ours and it is in Canada. For a lot of businesses that is a compliance question rather than a preference, and being able to answer it in one sentence, without tracing a chain of resellers, is worth something on its own.

The local half is different from the other services here because a server does not need you nearby. Hosting clients can be anywhere. What being in Kitchener changes is who picks up: a site we host for a business in Waterloo, Cambridge, Guelph or out in the townships is supported by the same people who would drive to their office for a repair, and that combination is unusual.

It is also why hosting sits last in the list of what we do rather than first. It is not the thing we lead with; it is the thing that makes the other work hold together.

Web design, hosting and programming clients don’t need to be local.

Best with, fine without

Hosting pairs naturally with a site we build, one team owns the whole stack. But we also host sites we didn’t build: we’ll move it over, tidy what’s fragile, and keep it running. Something custom to deploy? Programming lives on the same infrastructure.

Taking on somebody else’s site is normal work and we do not require that it be rebuilt first. We will tell you plainly what is fragile about it, what we would leave alone, and what would be cheap to improve while it is being moved anyway.

Questions

Common questions.

Where is my data, exactly?
In Canada, on hardware we own and operate. It doesn’t leave the country and it isn’t resold from a third-party cloud.
Why does “own infrastructure” matter?
Accountability. There’s no upstream vendor to blame and no ticket queue between you and the fix, the people you call are the people with access.
Can you move my existing site?
Yes, migration is included. We copy, test on our end, then switch over, in that order. Downtime is minutes, not days.
What if my site goes down at night?
Monitoring alerts us before most clients notice, and because it’s our hardware, we can act on it immediately, not wait on a provider.

Ask a hosting question

Find out which country your site is in.

Most people cannot answer that about their current host, and it takes one sentence to answer about ours. Migration is included, and the copy is tested before your domain moves at all.
